The Internet, Home Based Business and Barak Obama, Equal Change

Congratulations to President-Elect Barak Obama, who will become the 44th President of The United States of America on January 20, 2009. Now, his victory represents obvious change (his favorite campaign slogan), but more importantly, his defeat of Senator John McCain, signaled that the status quo was no longer acceptable in lieu of the failure of well known US financial institution such as AIG, Lehman Brothers, Freddie Mack, Washington Mutual Bank. In essence the American people sent the message, “We want change in the US Economy. Now, are you receptive to change as an entrepreneur?

Although, change is a necessary component of long-term success people still tend to dislike and avoid it, because it represents a disruption in the way things traditionally have been conducted. Needless to say, people like comfortability and familiarity, because it is something they know and most importantly can control so as to attain a desired outcome they favor. Obviously, the change in the current US Economy represents a situation where people feel they have no control and definitely are uncomfortable about their financial future. So what’s the solution for the average person who worries about his/her 401K and other financial investment portfolio? Wait a minute; the previous question is irrelevant, because everyone with any kind of investment has already lost significant value in his or her portfolio due to the inter-connectivity of the global financial markets and economies.

Okay, the past is the past, what’s the plan for today and the future for long-term growth? Well, entrepreneurs historically have always been the most adaptable people around because they recognize that success in any situation requires adjustment or change to maximize their investment. The introduction of the Internet in the early 1990’s illustrates a period of global economic change for businesses and it is safe to say people adapted or changed so as to expand not only their business, but also their knowledge base, which is the true engine of wealth-generation within any business. Will you do the same during the current economic time? Will you embrace change or enter the MLM Cemetery?

Now, the Internet or the Information Super Highway helped expand home business opportunities globally and provided millions of people the opportunity to become entrepreneurs. In essence the global economy changed for the better with the advancement of Internet related technology and resources. I can personally, attest to the change in my lifestyle due to the Internet and its access to online communities, leads, lead-generation resources and search engines like Alta Vista or Google. However, the current economic times are less appealing despite, the easy access to the advancement and easy access to Internet-related technology resources that in the past generated massive income for millions of people.
