Struggling With Your Online Business Use These Facebook Marketig Tips To Succeed

Struggling With Your Online Business Use These Facebook Marketig Tips To Succeed

Facebook marketing is a great tool for small business owners to appeal to a larger audience while gaining feedback on goods or services. Because it's easier to respond directly to patrons, a relationship can be easily built. Read the tips in this article so you can use Facebook marketing to the best of your ability.

Create customized tabs to highlight information on your Facebook page. This way you can clearly separate promotions, coupons, freebies and other things that you would like to highlight about your business without having them get lost in your wall posts. When the contest or promotion is over, you simply remove that tab from your Facebook page.

Allow your subscribers to get to know you better. Your subscribers might feel more comfortable about sharing content with you and interacting with your campaign if they know who is behind your posts. Share some pictures of yourself at work or launch a video blog so you can address your audience directly.

Provide exclusive content that is available only to visitors who "Like" your Page. Internet viewers often feel that exclusive content is better than other content simply because it is exclusive. Since a "Like" costs the viewer nothing, they are likely to provide it out of curiosity, and your business benefits from the advertising.

Show your customers that you care by highlighting causes on your wall. This can really build your relationship as they see your business as a caring, kind entity. You can run contests or events which offer a donation to the cause in exchange for a like or entering contact information.

Add pictures to your profile page. People love pictures and it really is true that a picture is worth a thousand words. When your fans can see what you have to offer, your customers with your products or services, or what you stand for, they will feel more of a connection to your company.

Do not pick a Facebook page name that is confusing and not consistent with your business. Once you choose a name, it is very difficult to convince Facebook to allow a change. You have to send a request, which could take a while. In the meantime you may end up losing customers.

Try posting to Facebook at different times during the day. If you have a habit of posting at the same time every day, you may not know if there are better times to get engagement. Every target audience is different, and what works for one time-wise might not work for another. Try posting at multiple times during the day to see when your audience is the most active.

Prior to making any major changes to your company's products or services, run a poll on your Facebook page first. As a marketer, you need assurances that your changes will be will be well-received and there's no better group to ask than your existing customers! They will also appreciate that you value their input.

Because of the ability to use mixed-media posts, "share" and comment on pages, and create a dialogue between the patrons and the business, Facebook marketing is a powerful tool. Tapping into the power of Facebook can make it easier to appeal to a wider, more varied audience. Remember these tips for your benefit!

Make Your Business Stand Out From The Rest Using Facebook Marketing

Make Your Business Stand Out From The Rest Using Facebook Marketing
Thanks to Facebook, anyone can get the word out about their company, big or small. Sadly, that means your competition is likely already there, marketing to the world. That said, they might not be doing it the best way possible, and this article will teach you how to do it better than they are.
When you set up a contest on your Facebook page, make it obvious. Stick it in its own tab and make sure that tab shows within the first three or four tabs. Also, change your cover photo to include notice that the contest has begun and tells fans how to enter.
Use pictures. Once you've got your site set up, share pictures with your Facebook friends and fans. These pictures can be of your product, or they can be inspirational or funny pictures. Your customers will share these pictures with their own Facebook friends, which raises your exposure across the site and will lead people to you.
Think about both business and fun in your Facebook marketing. Often people think way too much business, but they forget that Facebook is really about the fun. You need to incorporate fun into your posts, your tactics, and your strategies. The more fun that you can add, the better the chance that you'll hit your marks.
There are plenty of resources you can use to learn more about Facebook marketing but keep in mind that the methods recommended by Facebook marketing gurus might not be adapted to your target audience. Learn as much as possible about Facebook marketing and choose the methods that seem to be adapted to your audience.
Your subscribers might check Facebook during work hours but they will be more likely to interact with you and share your content outside of office hours. You should wait until your subscribers are home before sharing your daily update if you want to get your audience to interact with your campaign.
Do not build any apps on Facebook that require more than three or fours steps to get started. The more complicated something is, the less likely people are to want to deal with it. If someone can use one of your apps right away, they will be more likely to sign up.
Share positive messages and things that people will remember in your news feed, even if it's not all about your business. You can really take the edge off of somebody's day and promote your company in a positive light. Offer something inspirational, industry related or that will otherwise be likely shared and enjoyed amongst your readers.
Put together a Facebook contest. People love fun things like contests and quizzes on Facebook. It's one of the things that makes the social media site so very special. It's not that hard for your company or brand to put together a contest, and it can really open up the engagement level of your community.
When it comes to marketing, the best campaign is always one which is better than those the competition comes up with. That's all it takes to be the top dog in your field. The advice here has really given you the ability to better anything other companies have come up with, so put it to use!

Expert Suggestions For Facebook Marketing That Really Works

Expert Suggestions For Facebook Marketing That Really Works

Is Facebook marketing a mystery to you? Instead of guessing at what you need to do, slow down and take the time to learn the basics. This article is a good starting point for learning how to create a successful marketing campaign on Facebook that will attract lots of customers.

Don't be afraid to promote yourself. You often here that it's bad to hard sell your products on social media, and that is true. But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't celebrate milestones and other big moments. People love feeling like a brand is personal, and milestones add to that feel. It's a human touch that really makes a difference.

Don't post just to post on Facebook. That's a sure-fire way to lose fans. If you are posting randomly with very little substance too many times every day, then many people will look at your brand as simply spamming their Facebook feed. Yes, you want to post as often as possible, but make sure the posts are quality.

Consider using Facebook advertising. By paying for Facebook ads, you can reach a larger audience by targeting specific demographics. This can get your Facebook page a lot of attention, and that's important. Try it out for a while and then cancel it if it does not seem to be working.

You want to show people that you are a real person, so make sure that you link your Facebook business page to your profile. In the section where you are allowed to add administrator's information, place a link to your personal page. You don't have to accept anyone you don't feel comfortable adding, but it will let people know you are real.

Encourage subscribers to interact with each other, for instance by sharing questions or starting some games on Facebook. Think of some fun games you could play with your subscribers, such as trivia questions, word association games or riddles. Make subscribers comfortable about sharing content with you and each other by moderating negative comments.

When you post something, one of your intentions should be to elicit responses from your community. Therefore, think about each post and figure out how to phrase things so that people will want to comment on what you have to say. Explicitly asking for opinions is one of the best ways to do this.

Every once in a while, hold a giveaway on Facebook! Nothing will boost your marketing efforts faster than freebies nor spread your company's message further. Give short notice to the promotion, creating a rapid-fire response that will spread through social media pages at the speed of light. You'll find yourself with a lot more prospective customers when it's all over!

When you get advice about "the best" of something, such as the best type of post, or the best type of content, or the best time to post, it will already no longer be the best. Why? Because your competition has read that post too and will be following it. Research your target audience and figure out your own personal "bests".

Facebook marketing should no longer be a mysterious art. You should now know what to do to get started. Of course, it's important to always keep learning! However, the tips you just read should carry you through the beginning stages of your marketing campaign so that you can see some success.

Best Blog Software Can Make You Or Break You

Best Blog Software Can Make You Or Break You

If you are interested in starting your own blog one of the most important decisions you'll make is choosing the best blog software. You have several choices, many of them are free, but before you choose just the right type of software you have to decide what you are going to use your blog for. That really will make a big difference in choosing the right software for your needs.

For example, if you are just blogging about your life and you have no real interest in making money from your blog, than virtually any free software will do, such as Wordpress or Blogger. At this stage the most important thing for you to consider is the ease of use. You can use each type of blog for a while just to see which one you feel the most comfortable with.

If, on the other hand, you are using your blog to make money either as an affiliate marketer or with the use of Adsense, you will need to be a little more careful. The actual software can still be the same, for instance many internet marketers prefer the Wordpress platforms. The difference is that you won't want a free Wordpress site. Instead you will want to buy your own domain name, so you own it, and have your blog hosted on another site such as Hostgator.com or HostMonster.com. That way your blog is your own personal piece of online real estate, you own it and you can control what you put on your site and what you do with it.

Going with the free version for a business blog is a very risky proposition Any of the free blogging sites have their own terms of service (TOS), which are always changing, if they find your blog to not be compliant with their TOS, the can delete your blog. Now think of what that would mean if you were making money with a particular blog and you've spent time building up traffic to that blog and one day it was just gone! Yikes.

Another thing to take into consideration when looking for the best software are the types of plugins available. Plugins are small software programs that you can literally 'plugin' to your blog by just a few clicks of the mouse, anyone can use them, and there are probably ten's of thousands of them available for every imaginable need, and most are free. If this concept seems weird to you, just think of them like apps for a smart phone, it's a similar concept. Some types of blogs will have a lot more plugins than others, so this could help you make up your mind which is best for you.

It's always nice to have options, and when it comes to finding the best blog software you have quite a few. Just keep your overall goals in mind when trying to decide which is best for you. For the most part, if you are just a 'personal blogger' and not really in it to make money, the free versions are just fine for you and your needs.

The great secret of business success: The MORE you GIVE AWAY, the richer you get!

The great secret of business success: The MORE you GIVE AWAY, the richer you get!
by Dr. Jeffrey Lant
Want to use your business to get rich? Of course you do! Then why aren't you giving away more?
Counter intuitive though this thought may appear, it contains the key truth of business success: the more you GIVE AWAY, the richer you get!
How much did you give away yesterday? How much the day before?
Right this minute, with the worldwide economy in the doldrums and likely to remain so for some time, millions of business owners are scratching their heads for ideas on how to spur crucial sales. All sorts of ideas, from the daft to the expensive, are being advanced.
Yet the solution to getting more sales is plain: Don't just sell your customers something, dazzle them with everything you will give them in addition to the actual product or service they pay for.
Focus the customer on an absolutely stunning offer
Look at everything you sold in the last few days. Were your customers buying products... or were they motivated by offers packed with additional benefits, benefits you were giving away as inducements to motivate faster sales?
In other words, did you make sales because you gave away one thing after another, which made purchasing the items in question an absolute no-brainer?
Start by brain storming what you can give away
Most businesses have NEVER made a systematic effort to determine just what they can give away to induce more sales faster. This, however, is key and must be done at once.
Go through every single product and service you offer. What can you give away:
* more of the product or service * free delivery * free shipping * discount coupons for future sales * a special limited time offer * service and support
Get the picture? Before you can fashion high-octane offers, you must develop a list of EVERYTHING you've got and can give away to motivate more present and future sales.
Study other people's offers and give-aways
The great thing about being in business is that paying attention to what other businesses are doing (and not just competitors either) can benefit you every single day. Thus, wherever you go, review what companies are doing to get your business; can you use or adapt them to your business success?
Develop a "give-away" mentality.
Business, you have been told, is all about closing sales, in other words about "working" the customer. If you buy into this point of view, you're in for a lifetime of drudgery and hard work. STOP IT!
Instead, consider yourself in the business of crafting spectacular bonus offers that enable you to make sales the very easiest way: by so exciting customers about the freebies and great offers they get that they'll do anything to get them! Doesn't this sound a whole lot easier and more fun that "closing sales"?
Start today, review today, improve today
Right now you're probably still trying to get your head around the concept that the more you give away the richer you'll get. Fair enough. But don't wait because of that to get started.
Today is the perfect day to start... as well as the perfect day to review what occurred AND to make improvements (like giving away even more).
You see, as long as your objective is maximizing your wealth... you're in the business of increasing the amount you give away and enhancing customer motivation. And if wealth is your goal, you must do what it takes to become a world-class expert in giving away, giving away, giving away. Because that is the sure-fire way to get wealthy.

Master Internet Marketing Strategies With These Top Tips

Master Internet Marketing Strategies With These Top Tips
Internet marketing is no easy feat. There are an overwhelming number of opportunities for you to post ads, reach out to potential customers and send out your marketing slogans. However, how to start off and keep organized throughout the process, is easier than you might think. Take a look at the tips offered in this article and you will find yourself on the way to your internet marketing goals in no time.
Effective internet marketing involves including information that is geared for all of your readers. Some people are very knowledgeable about the product you are selling, and others may have just come across it recently. Include basic information about the product using simple terms and then add complicated technical information. This will help you increase sales by providing a little something for everyone.
While it is true that a lot of Internet marketers are able to advertise their sites and products without spending money at all, this is something that is incredibly rare. Blog businesses hosted on free sites that make 50k a year are pretty much dying off. You will need to invest some money, if only for a legitimate website and some keyword campaigns.
Successful internet marketing depends upon your products being easily and readily available. If your products are easy to order, you will have increased sales. So try to look at things from a customer's viewpoint, even going as far as to buy some of your own products. This way you will know if there are any issues with the ordering process. If you come across any difficulties, don't hesitate to fix them.
Err on the side of caution if you are unsure of what font or style to choose for your website. Not everyone will have perfect sight, especially the older visitors to your page, so use a font that is clear, large and legible if you want to improve the overall experience of your visitors.
Use videos to advertise your website. Online videos are the latest craze in internet marketing. Many sites use online video sharing sites to link videos about their website to the site itself. It is among the latest, cutting edge methods of marketing today. If expense is a concern, there are plenty of low-budget options available.
It's well known that writing articles with unique content is an effective online marketing technique. However, knowing how to format those articles to make them appealing to potential buyers is another matter. Studies have shown that people tend to skim online articles. So how can you use this information to your advantage? Write articles with bulleted lists, emphasize key words or phrases by capitalizing or underlining them or by using bold or italicized letters, use subheadings and keep your paragraphs short and to the point.
If you don't have the full skill set needed to start with Internet Marketing you shouldn't fret. Internet marketing is great because there is a lot of hands on experience available. The best way to start is simply to start. Find a very basic domain name and see what you can do to improve it.
It is important to make the internet marketing experience for your customer as pleasant as possible by providing a website that doesn't look cheap. If you can't afford a professional website design, consider taking a low cost course at a local county college and spruce up your site with the tips that you learn.
No matter what you're changing about your business, whether it's a big change or a simple change of page layout, make sure you tell your customers about it. Keep them informed on everything that's happening with your business. This is easy to do with mass mailers, so there's no excuse not to do it.
Avoid spam, deceitful tricks, and scams. Doing business this way can be tempting at times, especially when the internet feels so anonymous, but they are not worth the potential loss. Tactics such as these might bring a short-term money gain, but they will ruin your reputation and could potentially destroy the business you have worked so hard to create.
While internet marketing can seem overwhelming, the advice in this article promises to keep your strategies focused and yielding significant results. Concentrate your efforts in the best way possible and maximize the time you put forth into generating online marketing techniques. The tips listed above ensure a way to get started on your online marketing goals, simply and effectively.

Attracting Traffic With Banner Ads

Attracting Traffic With Banner Ads

Advertising on the internet is constantly evolving. There seems to be so many methods to gain the website traffic that is becomes a challenge or confusing to know exactly how to advertise your website.

One of highest forms of advertising is the banner ads. You see them everywhere. They are on the search engines. They are on personal websites. They are on blogsites. You cannot go to any site without seeing a banner ad. For this reason they have become one of the widest methods to entice the internet traffic. They are very beneficial and low cost when approached properly.

Banners ads are based on brand recognition. They are specifically designed for certain products and services. The text within the ads describes in a limited area the detailed information to attract the users to click on the ad then to be driven to the website. It makes locating the products and services quite simple.

The banners are targeted at certain traffic. This helps to reduce the users that are not truly interested or going to purchase from the website. The targeted traffic is the true cause of using banner ads. Targeted traffic means higher sales and higher profits.

There is not a fixed banner advertisement campaign as the methods are so wide in variety. You can use Google AdWords and Overture to gain further insight on the forms of campaigns to use that are more effective. Google and Overture have tools to enhance your site and advertising campaign.

The sites help to locate the right terms and phrases to include in your advertising campaign. With the right words and terms you will get the traffic you are seeking. Without them, you are wasting time and effort.

Here are some tips to increase your efforts:

1. Choose an attention grabbing content for your banner. With the limited amount of text space you need to have superior content on the ad.

2. Add pictures on the ad to give the users a visual of the product. Seeing is believing in the eyes of the consumer.

3. Avoid using banners larger than 5K. The bigger banner is not going to gain more traffic and seems to clutter the sites they are posted on.

4. Avoid using too many different colors and fonts. You want to appear professional, not like a kid with a new box of crayons testing out every color.

5. Use the ?call to action? advertising method of ?click here for more exciting information.? Take charge and direct the users to click on your ad.

6. Keep your ad content readable. Make it motivational but not too cluttered with information. You only want to peak their interest to click the ads.

  1. Test the links of banner to verify it drives the traffic to your site.

7 Ways To Increase Google Adsense Money

7 Ways To Increase Google Adsense Money

Here?s seven tips to increase your Google Adsense money.

1. Limit your Adsense blocks to one per page. While you might think that multiple ads mean multiple ways to increase your Google Adsense money, what really happens is that lower value ads are placed on your site. If the visitor is going to click, you want him to click on a high value ad.

2. Use multiple formats. The main Ads by Google block is great, but it is only one of three formats. The other two are the text link ad (which you can make look like your navigation bar) and the Google search tool. Using one of each of these formats does not violate rule #1.

3. Place a large rectangle above the fold. The best way to format a page is to have your headline followed by a large Adsense block. Start the keyword-rich article down below.

4. Have content rich sites. You should try to have at least three phrases on each page that Google can ?grab ahold of? to make ad placements. One of the quickest ways to lose your shirt is for Google to not be able to place any ads and display public service ads instead.

5. If you want to make Google Adsense money, you have got to chase higher paying keywords. As you build websites, you will find that some Adsense clicks are only worth a penny or two while others bring in a couple of dollars. Highly competitive high dollar industries like insurance and personal injury law tend to be best. When in doubt, use the Google Adwords tool to determine whether advertisers in the industry are spending a large amount per click.

6. Generate more traffic to your site. If you have a click through rate of 10 percent, you know that 10 percent of all new visitors who come to your site will make you money. So, go out and entice more people to your site. It will make you more Google Adsense money.

7. Test, test test. All of the above are suggestions based on ?best practices? that other people have observed. But to make real Google Adsense money, you?ve got to test things out yourself. Change the colors on the ads and see whether that affects your click through rate. Move the ads around on the page. Try different size ads. Then, when you find a format that works, stick with it.

Google Adsense can be a profitable way to build websites for cash. But, you have to treat it as a business. In most cases, blogging about your life won?t bring you much in the way of Adsense income. While even earning a few dollars for keeping an online diary appeals to some, if you want to make a business out of being a Google Adsense publisher, you have to take it seriously.

That means chasing the high value keywords, developing Adsense friendly websites, and driving traffic to it. You have to test to make sure everything is producing as well as it can.

And, that?s how you make real Google Adsense money.

Affiliate Marketing Tips You Shouldnt Pass Up On

Affiliate Marketing Tips You Shouldnt Pass Up On

Many people enter into affiliate marketing with a great deal of enthusiasm, but lose steam when they don't instantly get results. Like many things, proper affiliate marketing takes time and hard work. In this article, you'll learn where you should be putting your effort in, and how you can get the results you've been hoping for.

Do not get lazy once you have things going well. Take the time to look into new products and trends. Check for updates with your affiliate programs and find out if they have any new tools and ads that will increase the visual appeal to your site and make it more tempting to click on.

If you're using multiple traffic sources to promote products, you need to make sure they all lead back to the same location. Although it sounds like common sense, you'd be surprised at just how many people are posting articles and e-zines that link to various other articles. The idea, one would guess, is to switch up the SEO results. But this is ultimately bad for traffic.

Recycle the emails that have made you the most money about once per year. This will ensure that new subscribers see that content, and should lead you to even more sales and commission. Old subscribers probably won't remember having received it the first time and might click through again for more sales.

Tier 2 commissions are a way to get more money out of your affiliate marketing deals. An affiliate partner pays you tier 2 money when you recruit another website owner into working with the partner. This can be a more challenging and profitable goal for the experienced marketer. Remember to investigate your partners' tier 2 benefits beforehand, and concentrate on the ones with the most potential profit.

Advertising your affiliate business as a legitimate business is a great way to get traffic and the best part is that it's the truth. Especially if you're selling electronics or other high-end products, you are a legitimate business if you're an affiliate. So take advantage of business listings to list your site.

For more affiliate sales, don't neglect 'cost per action' programs. In addition to making money when your visitors buy something, you can also get paid - when your visitors do things like downloading game software or filling out a form. 'Cost per action' or CPA programs usually pay less money, but it worth it. Because it is easier to get people to perform these actions than to get them to buy something!

A great tip for affiliate marketing is to pre-sell any offers that you would like your site visitors to purchase. Simply adding a link to your page is not going to generate all that much money. Rather, take the time and explain why your visitors should click on the links.

You can set up your affiliate marketing account through each company that you would like. Each company will have their own criteria for allowing you to be an affiliate, but most just appreciate the free publicity. Just make sure that the company you choose has products that you want to endorse.

Find out if the affiliate program that you are considering, offers test products to you so that you can write an honest review about the product on your site. Many affiliate programs will provide you with this service and it will really increase the honesty that you can use when providing information about the products you are promoting.

Don't give up on affiliate marketing before you really get started. While you may not be impressed by your affiliate marketing profits right now, that may change once you start applying this article's advice. If you stick with affiliate marketing and do the right things, you can achieve some great things.

Why you will NEVER be rich. Why you will never live la dolce vita. And what you won't do about it.

Why you will NEVER be rich. Why you will never live la dolce vita. And what you won't do about it.

by Dr. Jeffrey Lant

Author's program note. This is an article about something you've craved, desired, wished for... but now, aging and chagrined, know you will never have... never be any closer to than when you were sixteen or the last time you seriously consulted "Esquire" for a fashion make over.

And that is financial independence.

You don't have to believe me, probably won't. So (smelling salts at the ready) take a look at your assets. Pathetic, isn't it? And the sad fact is... you won't do anything about it. Probably can't.

But before we develop this maudlin theme further, you'd better imbibe some of Nino Rota's masterful score from Fellini's perpetually edgy masterpiece "La Dolce Vita" (1960). You'll find it in any search engine. It is about the craziness of love, money and desire played out in Rome, where the unending search for the sweet life will devour you as it has devoured generations before you, including a whole College of Cardinals, and expectant generations still to come.

Now let us begin, for you have wasted far too much time, and have so little left.

Time.

The first reason la dolce vita will elude you is that you've waited too long to use the present to shape the future. Now hear this: to become rich by your own insistent hands and devices, you must start from the first minute you glimpse the awful and shocking truth that you are not going to be young and beautiful for ever. What? Moi?

Yes, I'm afraid so. One of these days some current play fellow of yours, who just a moment ago complimented your bodacious curves and knock-'em-out bootie, will be considering the unfairness of fate whilst scrutinizing your flesh-specked skull, for all the world like Hamlet and hapless Yorick.

Dire, but who cares?

Very well, you muffed your biggest advantage -- time. Sadly, the more you wasted; the less organized and efficient you were, the fewer options you have. There are two things you can do about this: 1) radically alter your lifestyle or 2) do nothing. You'll say, of course, that you'll make adjustments, but we both know, don't we, how lazy and incorrigible you have been in the past... and intend to be in the future. In other words, you'll continue to talk the good, the plausible, the smooth game... but you won't lift your pampered pinkie to achieve the objective.

What objective?

The plain truth is you have never had a specific, written financial objective; the older you get, the more glaring its omission. For example: have you checked to see just how long a person of your age, gender, and health can expect to live? In other words do you know what you're working with? It figures. You want the dolce vita, but you haven't got a clue about how much "vita" is left. So, for openers let's play "This is the rest of your life." For most of you even Ralph Edwards, a man with helium in his leather pumps, couldn't squeeze much optimism from the too sad facts.

Napoleon, no objective, St Helena.

The most celebrated man in history who lived without objectives was the great Napoleon himself. It's what brought him down from the highest of pinnacles and human achievement to life on a poky little sheep ranch called St. Helena. You see, before each campaign he'd steal the soldiers he'd need and the money. Then, without forethought, he'd set down the road... without goal, without objective. He was, you see, the ultimate wing-er. Goals, he reckoned, could take care of themselves...

Europe offered him this province and that if he would say just what he wanted and, in time honored fashion, stop with the current larceny; in other words once he was bought, stay bought. However,if things were going well, he declined to parlay; it they weren't going well, he declined to parlay until at last the aristocrats understood they must work together, did so, and snuffed the man who, if he had a reasonable goal, would have ruled the roost and been the greatest sovereign since the Caesars. It is unrecorded if his imperial majesty liked mutton. I doubt it.

Now, assets.

A detailed look at what you loosely term your "assets" now is necessary. Gather what you jocosely call your "financial records," you know, that laughable pile of gum wrappers, lottery tickets, naughty Internet sites, and legal mumbo-jumbo about a stock you once owned. You'll need pencil, paper and true grit for this crucial exercise.

Now, sit down and start.... And, pray, don't snivel, whine or sob!!!; much less "special plead" and "explain" as we review the little you wish to transform into the enough, the more than enough, and that fast receding life you once though would arrive without much effort or work of any kind. Oh, how the ill-informed and grossly self-deceived have fallen.

What assets?

Get a grip on yourself. You are about to do the hardest of tasks; telling the truth about you, the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. It will cause you pain; it will make you squirm; it will make you perspire and cause your life with every wrong decision and miscalculation to flash before your horrified eyes.

Why have I put that gun on the table? Because I know given the chance you'd be out of here like a jack rabbit. So, shall we begin?

The overwhelming number of folks have just about $30,000 in assets upon retirement. That's probably within shouting distance of where you are now, assuming you wish to retire in, say, five years. I hope you're smiling, sugar, because you're going to have to place a brave face upon this dismal reality. And while you're at it, try learning the lyrics to Charlie Chaplin's moving song, "Smile though your heart is breaking...." Just remember this, when he wrote it he was probably the best known entertainer in the world and amongst the richest men on Earth. It's easy to weep into your beer and warble movingly under those conditions.

Under water.

So.... grimly...you list your primary asset, your house. The Great Recession of '08 wiped out such assets for most people for the better part of a generation. If you're looking here for salvation, look again. It's not coming any time soon and certainly not to fund a lifestyle less dolce every day. And as for any other "assets", you know and I know their collective value is negligible. And as for that grotesque Chinese vase your auntie bought 50 years ago in San Francisco, you'll be waiting a long, long time before "Antiques Road Show" tells you it's fake, Ming indeed! Nice try.

Two choices.

So, what are you going to do? You could get realistic and stop wishing for something that's not going to happen. Take your $30,000 (or so) and give yourself a week in Paris Greta Garbo would envy. Splurge. When it's over, it's over. Enjoy what you've had; don't pine for more. You've had a nice taste of what you wanted. Be grateful. This is not the American way, of course; no matter how much you get, you want more... and moan to high heaven when you don't have it, can't afford it, and can't get it.

The solution? It's right in front of you. It's called the Internet, and it's a gold mine... if you work with the right people and follow simple directions. I know what I'm talking about. Nearly twenty years ago, when the 'net was new and primitive. I made a calculated decision that it would be the most important, the transformational technology of my life. Without hesitation I affiliated way back then with a genius named George Kosch who explained to me, already a successful businessman in publishing and direct mail, why the 'net was the big play. As a result I made millions of dollars.

Now hear this: you can, too. Everything you need is just one click away, easy to understand, easy to start. What's more you'll never work alone, will always have assistance and instruction and need to know absolutely nothing about technology. Now see for yourself. Go to worldprofit.com and immerse yourself in your successful future.

But we both know, don't we, what you'll do... thereby killing your last chance (short of a winning lottery ticket or the timely demise of an unknown relative) of much "vita" at all, much less any that's dolce. Caio, bella. We'll miss you on the Via Veneto. And remember, to be rich, is to be beautiful... forever.

Nurturing And Developing A Home Business With Simple Ideas

Nurturing And Developing A Home Business With Simple Ideas

You need to have some knowledge of what to do and expect from a home business. You need to know what resources are available to you and who can provide you answers as to what you need for the future of your business. The tips below can help you start.

To keep your finances in order, acquire a unique checking account and credit card to use for your home business. Use them for every business transaction you have, and use them for business only. Keeping your business finances separate from your personal finances will make it much easier on you when tax-time rolls around.

A good way to start gathering information on how to be successful at a home-based business is to join an online forum or community discussion group. You can find many useful resources by doing a simple Google search. Blogs are another great resource when it comes to educating yourself about online businesses.

Ask the other members of your household to refrain from interrupting or otherwise compromising your work. Keep regular work hours so that they know what to expect. If you have kids, schedule work hours while they are occupied at school or extracurricular activities. Don't leave work materials in common areas where they might be moved or damaged.

Since your home is also your work place, make a point to get out of the house on a regular basis. Don't isolate yourself for the sake of convenience. Go have lunch in the park, grab your coffee at a bookstore, etc. Just make sure you are out breathing fresh air at least once a day.

As you begin your home business, make sure that you believe in the product or company that you are supporting. It is very difficult to try and sell a product that you would not want to own yourself. Similarly, if you do not believe in a company's message or business practices, you will not work as hard for them.

Make sure you respond to any customer inquiries in a timely manner. Keep track of your messages to make sure every question gets answered. This will show customers you care about your business and they will come back to do business with you for their future purchases or business needs.

Keep everything as organized as possible to make it easier for you to keep your bills paid on time and your customers happy. Find a place with few distractions that you can dedicate to only your home business supplies. It will make the time that you spend working more efficient.

If you are planning to start a home-based business, try teaching music lessons. If you play a musical instrument, it's an invaluable tool for making money. Good music teachers command good pay, you can use any room in your home and you will have no start-up costs. It's the perfect way to use your talent to your advantage.

As you have seen in the above tips, there is a lot of knowledge, you can acquire before starting and maintaining a home business, and it is this knowledge that can help you with your future. Do everything you must to ensure the success of your home business for the future.

When champions fail... what they do that you do not.

When champions fail... what they do that you do not.

by Dr. Jeffrey Lant

Author's program note. A lady I know well, a lady accustomed not just to victory but to constant victory, was last month handed her lunch in her company's sales contest. She lost by the thinnest of margins... just 1 widget. But it didn't matter; for her opponent a win was a win; knocking off the queen was sweet indeed.

Thus my friend woke up this morning no longer champ, but "former" champ... and I decided to pen these thoughts because I've been where the lady is today... and I have a pretty good idea about how she feels. I've also got some thoughts I hope helpful for regaining the crown...

I suspect she already knows them and has already begun regrouping, for that's what champs down on their luck do. But you probably don't...

To get you in the mood for victory, I have selected Marvin Gaye's 1976 hit "I want you." This is precisely what you must say to and about success. You'll find it in any search engine. Go now. And when you've got it, dance it. For there's nothing like dancing to clear your mind, put oxygen in the blood... and rouse yourself for your next great challenge -- taking back the crown you've (temporarily) lost.

Congratulate the winner.

Ever watched the loser of our quadrennial elections for president get up and calm his rabid followers, to deliver for the world a gracious speech of concession, capitulation, and class? Of course you have... it's as American a tradition as apple pie and selling missiles to tyrants. We like to think that people who have been at each others' throats just hours ago mean to bring good fellowship and reconciliation to the nation. We expect these high expectations to be met... by losing presidential candidates and by... you. Do so at once. The quicker you make connection and say your piece, the faster you'll move up and out of this most unhappy zone. Remember, if you can't rise to actual sincerity, fake it. Either way, just do it.

What went wrong?

Champs either 1) win for a reason or series of reasons; or 2) lose for a reason or a series of reasons. The key is being clear on these reasons and either 1) maximizing their impact, or 2) limiting it.

You must know what you did that worked and arrange to do more of it.

For instance, say that you were making only ten prospect calls a day. This clearly wasn't enough; that objective needs to be increased, to 10 CONNECTS per day, not just dials. This would increase your competitive position at once, after just 1 or 2 days. Do the same with everything you did before... increasing what you do and thereby increase your likelihood of winning.

Note: it is easy when you are a constant champ to take winning as an inevitable state of affairs. But no true champ ever takes winning as anything other than a state of constant preparation, focus and humility. The last is perhaps the most difficult factor... and the most essential.

What didn't work.

Equally, you must decide what you did that didn't work... and radically root it out of your brain and daily schedule.

Were you so confident of victory that you began to cut corners? For instance, instead of emailing to your safe lists every single day (the necessary standard for champs) perhaps you emailed them only 4 or 5 times in a week. Or, maybe you didn't do your blogging daily as you should; again getting by, instead of getting ahead. If so, you need to re-read the story of the tortoise and the hare. There's a lesson there just for you.

Important point: the factors discussed above are the two easiest components of the thorough review you must make, the review that puts winning closer to your grasp... and lessons the probabilities of future failure. Approach these factors as if you had never been a champ before... as if winning were your objective, your destiny, and you were determined to identify each factor that would help deliver victory. In other words, start from square one... never assume... never give it a "lick and a promise"... you need to reinvent your game to win it again.

Adding potential new success factors.

Okay, you've considered what you did that was successful and vowed to do more of that. And, you have reviewed the failure factors with stern determination to expunge them from your play book and daily success agenda. Now you need to brainstorm new things you can do which, if successful, make your time in the wilderness short and your restoration inevitable.

For instance, say that you were trying to run your business without calling a single prospect ever. In such a situation the "something new" you'd need to adopt would be calling so many prospects each and every day.... and not just calling them either, but connecting with them.

Equally, say you hadn't been using landing pages, blogs, safe lists, traffic exchanges, etc. Now's the time to add them.... one at a time. The objective is to improve your game, not spread yourself too thin. Focus is key...not overwhelming yourself, making yourself tired.

Now improve your offer.

Business champions all know that making a superior offer, an offer that excites, motivates, enthuses is the key to business success. To become a champion you need such an offer... to stay a champion you need such an offer... and to regain your throne you need such an offer... only better.

Thus brainstorm improvements you can make in your offer that will cause prospects to jump through hoops to get it. The offer is your key to becoming champion again.

Set your objectives.

At my company, Worldprofit, Inc., each month we crown a sales champ, then one grand champ for the year. To win these titles you need a daily, weekly and monthly objective.. Remember this is a champ's objective... and must be appreciably better than the one you lost by. Here's a hint. Structure your game so that you achieve at least 10% of your monthly objective in the first two days of the month. That'll show the folks you mean business, and makes you a cheerful competitor.

Get started.

Every loser has never been a champ, but every champ has been a loser. And, properly handled, losing can be a very good thing. Because losing forces you to review your methods; study your methods, and improve your methods...

... because from such study and analysis come all future championships... won by you, because you accept nothing less from yourself -- and never will.

Marketing Security Tips Against Hacking

Marketing Security Tips Against Hacking

It is true Wordpress marketing is one of the most powerful marketing tools available on the internet today, but it can be abused. What is even better, is against popular belief, Wordpress can be used for more than just blogging. You can even create your own website through Wordpress. When you are using your Wordpress Marketing software, however, there are a few security measures that you should be aware of or you can risk being deleted from the Google search engine.

1. Plugins:
You need to be sure that you check all plugins before you add them to your site. A lot of the third party plugins sometimes are created by untrustworthy people. They create them in an effort to steal your blog or site. Some of these plugins have also already been banned from Goggle, for your protection and if Google sees that you are using them they will delete your site from their search engine as well.

2. Recent Version:
Make sure that you are using a recent version of Wordpress. This is due to the fact that every software has bugs or errors that are corrected each time a new version is released. When you use the latest version of Wordpress you are avoiding these issues. You need to understand though that even the most recent versions can have errors; so you need to be careful. A good practice to get into is before you download the most recent version do some research. Look for possible problems that others have encountered. If there seems to be a lot of problems do not download it till they have the issues resolved.

3. Admin Account:
All hackers know that Wordpress has a user admin feature. This feature will allow you to do just about any administrative job available on the Wordpress software. Slow these would be hackers down by removing your admin feature. Instead create a Wordpress admin privileges by using the administration feature. After you have done this then you will need to log out of Wordpress and log back in. Then you should delete the admin user. The new admin user should be different from your original one.

4. Password Protect:
You need to be sure that you password protect your Wordpress software the minute you install it. This will give you an extra layer of protection against would be hackers. Please note though if you have a weak password the hackers can still break through so come up with one that contains a combination of both numbers and letters. The harder you make the password, the less chance the hacker has of gaining access to your Wordpress site.

5. Rename Your Database Tables:
Hackers who attack your site will need access to the database table names. The Wordpress Marketing software allows you to change your table names in order to prevent these would be hackers from attacking your tables.

These are just a few of the security measures, which you can use to prevent your Wordpress from getting banned from Google; when you are hacked. There are many others available and you can find them by typing in security for Wordpress into any search engine. Practicing these steps now can save you a lot of trouble and money later.

The 7 numbers that ensure business sales, profits, and wealth. I'll tell youthe secret... but I bet you won't use it! Yet you SAY you want to make money. Pshaw!

The 7 numbers that ensure business sales, profits, and wealth. I'll tell youthe secret... but I bet you won't use it! Yet you SAY you want to make money. Pshaw!

by Dr. Jeffrey Lant.

Author's program note. It's far too early in the morning for me to be up and at 'em like I am. But I'm on a rescue mission, yeah, a real Florence Nightingale. I'm about nothing less than saving your bacon by sharing -- and in every particular -- one absolutely crucial piece of advice; advice that spells the difference between just getting by in your business, profits scarce and spotty and making M-O-N-E-Y!

Let me ask you a question, and ask it in all seriousness. Do you REALLY want a business that makes you money EVERY SINGLE DAY? I know you. At this point in the drama, you're going to tell me -- because you might actually believe -- that you are doing every single thing you can do to get people to call you. And because you believe this and actually believe that you are already doing it, that you don't need to do another thing.

I'm here to tell you different, and the extent to which you "get" what I'm revealing here is the extent to which you make money.

Let's start by looking at the marketing documents you've got now for therein lies the problem... AND the solution.

You want customers... but you aren't doing everything on Earth to get them to call you... amazing!

It's time to take a good close look at the marketing documents you are using right now.

Unless you have good counter tops with plenty of clear space at the ready, it's time to put the ol' kitchen table to work -- again; the venerated place from which you may have launched the business you planned to be a glory to the world, an ever growing financial cornucopia for your old age. Just sitting at this table again, the dreams of Auld Lang Syne rising ineluctably to the surface, may be a jolt, especially if the big dreams of yesterday have generated nothing more than the puny results of today. Let's take a look...

It's time to drag out every single marketing document you're using, developing, or planning to use. It's time you put each one under a microscope and take a real good look-see at precisely what marketing you're doing... not merely what you think you're doing. Be prepared for the shock of your life. Get a good strong chair and the smelling salts you're sure to need... and maybe a friend or two or three with palmetto fans and balm for your ego, about to be severely bruised. Ready? Then let's get going on your hunting and gathering expedition.

List every single form of marketing you are currently using offline... and on; that is brochures, Yellow Pages ads, anything you mail, package stuffers, match book covers, media releases, catalogs, articles and books, messages on envelopes... get the picture? This phase of Operation Profit is going to take a while because you have never, ever done this; thereby depriving you of seeing -- in one place -- every single thing you are using and PAYING FOR to generate more business and generate it NOW.

Look closely, breathe deeply.

The first thing to consider after you've artfully arranged every single marketing document you're using in front of you is this sobering thought: you have spent a ton of money on this stuff. But is it working; is it, that is, making you money? At this crucial moment in your affaires, you cannot afford to THINK. Instead, you must KNOW. You must be stern, unyielding, absolutely 100% focused on what you're spending... and what you're getting; an accounting which will very likely make you most glum and chagrined indeed. That's a shame... but you cannot advance without this critical analysis. You cannot afford to be a sissy now, and that's a fact.

The close scrutiny that can pay off big time IF you learn from it and make all the necessary changes -- FAST!

First, does every single marketing communication include your name, address, email address, URL, AND phone number? Remember this: your marketing communications are only as good, as useful, and as remunerative as they should be IF and ONLY IF they contain COMPLETE follow-up details. If they don't, then you won't get the #1 thing you want: BUSINESS.

But merely including this crucial information isn't enough, not by a long shot. Rather, you must give your prospects a reason to CALL YOU RIGHT NOW, not a day from now, not an hour from now but RIGHT THIS MINUTE. And for this to happen, you must give your prospects a reason to call NOW, immediately, at once, no excuses whatsoever, no excuses at all.

Have you provided this absolutely essential sine qua non of successful business, or have you rather presumed that your customers would know what to do and do it, thereby placing the burden for action on the customer, rather than where it must be: ON YOU!

Now for the meat and potatoes of what makes you, yes YOU, such a rotten marketer: You haven't MOTIVATED and ASKED the prospect to call you. You haven't given her a reason to call you NOW! Instead you sat back confident, obstinate, stubborn in your blind smug assurance that THEY should call YOU without a reason, an offer, even an invitation; celestial know-it-all that you are instead of doing what is necessary, what is mandatory to get these all-important beings, the fountain of wealth to call you NOW, this very minute.

Look at the panoply of marketing communications before you, the communications on which you're betting the ranch. Does any one, even a single one, open with an offer, any benefit at all, for picking up the phone AT ONCE so that you can use your magic to make them better off and make yourself more money? Even a single one?

The plain, honest and horrifying truth is that you are sending out thousands, hundreds of thousand and over your business career, MILLIONS of marketing communications that aren't delivering the customers you must have to get rich. And it's all your fault...

No call to action. No benefit to call about. No business. No wonder!

Here's what you need to do... so that motivated prospects call you... 24/7/365, a wide world of prospects, clambering for the benefits that you, YOU, can deliver, you lucky dog.

Brainstorm motivating language, test, re-write, test again, then dance 'cause. cuz', you are (finally) doing it right.

Try this: "FREE consultation ($150 value). Expert shows you how to make money online. Call (phone number) 24/7 NOW! Profit today!"

Now the acid test. Does even one of your marketing communications open with an offer like this? No? Not even one? Well, then, what you're saying is this, "I want your business. I want your money. But I'll do as little as possible to get it." Wow, what a charmer you are, you are, what a wonderful charmer you are -- not! Under the circumstances, with you doing so little to get your prospects to respond, it is hardly surprising that they don't.

Cut your throat, or cut your losses and PROFIT. Your choice.

Having read this article, you now have two choices. Continue along the road you're now on, the road featuring maximum hubris with minimal results. Or the straight and sure highway to profits, more profits, and predictable wealth. You'll tell me, of course, you'll take remunerative option 2, but we both know you, don't we? You'll say you'll do better; you'll actually mean it, for a day or two. Then back to the same ol' same ol', doing more of what has returned so little.

But at least one of you will heed my strict and certain admonitions, and you'll get rich, really rich. Thus for you I have that indefatigable energy machine, James Brown and his anthem for people who love money and, with my help, are well on their way to getting it.... "I Feel Good."

Find it in any search engine now (recorded 1965) . Play it loud and proud....

"Whoa-oa-oa. I feel good, I knew that I would, now. I feel good, I knew that I would, now So good, so good, I got you."

And that, cuz', is nothing but the glorious truth. Yeah!

Your lousy communication skills are hurting yourself and others. Here's what you need to do at once.

Your lousy communication skills are hurting yourself and others. Here's what you need to do at once.

by Dr. Jeffrey Lant

It's time to call a spade a spade. We are members of the most communications savvy and personally wired generation ever. Even the tiniest mite has her cell phone with camera. Yet the truth is, the explosion of communications tools has produced less real communication than ever; you and your poor communications skills are one of the culprits. Listen up! After all, it's time your communication skills improved to the level of your communications tools.

The quality of communications is not strained...

You, being an educated soul, are no doubt familiar with Portia's famous speech:

The quality of mercy is not strain'd, It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest: It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.

(The Merchant of Venice. Act 4, scene 1.)

Bold and even impious, I now advise you (while great Shakespeare rolls in his grave) to change the word "mercy" to "communications," thus:

The quality of communications is not strain'd... it is twice blessed..."

And so it is. Good communications are good for the recipient and for the sender too.

You know this... but you do not act accordingly. Which is why this (shall we say) motivating article is so necessary and why you should take every single word to heart and make radical adjustments in your lamentable behavior.

Poor communicators (with the probability strong that you are one of them) exhibit these traits:

Arrogance. The human animal is a selfish animal, conceived in selfishness and nurtured in the belief that the Great Me, the universe-centered I Am is the most important animal anywhere at any time. As a result, this animal well and truly believes that she is so important that others must feel grateful, even when the communication is not returned. Oh, my!

People (like you?) who do not communicate effectively are people who are telling others, clear as crystal, that they are superior to you; that their time is more valuable than yours... and that these lesser folk need wait (and happily so) and wait and wait some more until you condescend to respond.

Such people by their behavior and non responsiveness clearly indicate that you and your concerns are, by definition, of infinitely less consideration than theirs. And that you'd best be glad for the little you get, for it is infinitely more than you deserve.

Poor communicators are slothful.

Good communicators, effective communicators realize that the business of communicating is like a tennis match. The ball must always be in motion between the communicator and those he wishes to communicate with. When the ball stops moving, the communication stops with it. The person who has stopped the communicating process is , by definition, the lazy, inhibiting one.

All too often the communication stops and is not extended because of unadulterated sloth. It takes work to communicate... it takes work to conceive a message and deliver that message. It takes work to be prepared and move matters to their next stage. However the slothful communicator can and does think of a myriad of "reasons" why he can obliterate the communications process without remorse. Thus he goes blithely on with his affairs while others, fuming, apply language which is ever more blue as time passes and their legitimate reasons for communicating go without any response whatsoever. Oh, my!

A special cycle of hell

For the intractable, for the miscreants arrogant and slothful who will not change, an idea: for them: a special cycle of hell wherein they are asked such questions as "are you hungry?" or "are you feeling hot and uncomfortable?" These hungry and uncomfortable miscreants answer and answer and answer. But response comes there none, ever. Delicious.

Help for the socially challenged and shy johns and janes everywhere.

Yet is the world of the non communicators made up solely and exclusively of the arrogant and slothful? Certainly not. It is also, and in significant numbers, the preserve of the shy, the timid, the socially malaprop, and untutored.

For them a single word: study.

There is one thing and only one thing which sets us apart and elevated from animals of every kind and place... and that one thing is communicating. So, if you truly wish to learn, improve and foster rather than retard communications, here is what you must learn and do.

1) Learn empathy, that crucial ability to enter into the minds and hearts of the people you are to communicate with. What is it they are expecting from you? Deliver that, to the furthest extent possible, and you have the essential element of success.

2) Be prompt about responding. In an age of instant communications, there can be absolutely no reason for delayed or no response at all except your own failure to provide it. The means are at hand; use them "as quick as boiled asparagus." And that's very fast!

3) Be clear on where you can be reached. Assume the person you are communicating with does not have this vital intelligence. State it clearly, thoroughly... and reiterate to avoid any confusion whatsoever.

4) Be willing to try again if the person you are trying to reach (even if that person initiated the communication) fails to respond. Remember, empathy is the basis for successful communications.

5) Above all else, never stop improving your knowledge of communication and its techniques.
